Okuhle Badli is an emerging leader in South Africa’s technology and engineering space, known for her commitment to innovation, safety, and community impact. She is the Founder and CEO of Nhanha Engineering, an AI-driven company focused on improving safety in the mining and construction industries through advanced technologies such as sensors, drones, smart wearables, and predictive analytics.

With qualifications in AI Engineering, Project Management (NQF Level 5), Financial Management, and Technology Entrepreneurship, Okuhle combines technical expertise with strong business acumen. She has also earned a CogLab certificate from Harambee and continues to grow through prestigious programmes such as Deviare, Liquid Technology’s incubation, Rising Tide Africa, Innovest Afrika, Womhub, FNB-Fetola and the 54 Collective Academy.

Okuhle’s vision is to transform high-risk industries by detecting accidents before they occur and predicting equipment failures through real-time data. Under her leadership, Nhanha Engineering has successfully tested its prototype with multiple companies and is preparing for full-scale operations with a multidisciplinary team of IT experts.

In addition to her entrepreneurial journey, Okuhle is passionate about mental health and co-directs OTOMEX Innovation, home to the Mindpal mental wellness app. Her work reflects resilience, creativity, and a deep dedication to solving real-world problems through technology.
